FOOD AND RETAIL
At Dengo, every manager sees the P&L from the store itself.
Artisan chocolate, with dozens of stores across the country and a growing operation.
Miguel Basílio, finance manager
The starting point
As the operation grew and expanded, finance struggled to control stores in detail, track results accurately and put budgets together quickly.
The processes had to be simplified, store managers brought closer to controllership and the data analysed more effectively — and none of that fits a tool only finance knows how to operate.
“LeverPro brought simplicity and speed to our day-to-day: faster budgets, automatic analysis and detail down to the journal entry, with no rework in Excel.”

The platform the store manager uses
The view became clear to everyone involved, including those without a finance background. That is what unlocks the rest: direct integration with the systems keeps it up to date, and access is segregated — each manager sees only their own unit's P&L.
Store managers can now access only their own unit's financial results and add comments directly on the platform. That made the process far more collaborative and efficient.
What the finance team gained
The management view of the data is different from what the ERP delivers, and that is where the analysis improved: the team started creating dashboards tailored to the company's needs, without depending on whoever configures the system.
Being able to customise the platform made a real difference. We could build the views we needed easily, which made decisions simpler and gave us a more detailed analysis of our financial data.
The budget stopped being a file
The supporting bases for the annual budget, the quarterly ones and the revisions came to be built faster. And comparing stopped being a manual exercise: month by month, year by year, cost centre beside cost centre.
The platform lets us compare different periods and cost centres, which makes spotting opportunities much easier and streamlines our analysis.
Down to the last level
Continuously exporting data to Excel and building formulas is no longer necessary — vertical and horizontal analysis come out ready. And the detail does not stop at the total: it reaches the invoice number and the accounting entry.
With LeverPro we can get down to the last level of detail in each entry, which makes a big difference to our analyses and to decision-making.
